Hydraulic Junior’s Wool Blend Military Topper Coat Review
When my daughter and I sat down and started looking at coats, we went through several sites and several coats. I liked this coat the moment I saw it, but she was apprehensive (she’s 11). I convinced her to order the coat with the concession that if she didn’t like it, we would get another style. SHE WON’T TAKE OFF THE COAT! It is so stylish and beautiful. It goes great with casual clothes like jeans and boots. It goes great with dressy clothes. It makes her pajamas look cute! The fit is perfect! She’s a chubby pear-shape and with the coat, she looks slimmer. She’s warm in extreme weather, and she can move naturally while wearing the coat. No restrictions. The fit is perfect. We are both immensely happy with this coat!

Ok, maybe this just isn’t going to work out. This bad review is mostly due to the awful customer service I’ve received in trying to order this product. I usually hate it when people do this, but it’s finally happened to me. This is the first time I’ve gotten terrible customer service on Amazon. This is what happened the first time I ordered this coat:
First try:
This coat is adorable. The quality is good. Not super heavy, but pretty warm and roomy enough cut for something warm underneath. I have to return it, as it is way too big. Surprising because it’s junior’s sizing. I’m not a junior, but I selected my size according to the size chart provided by Amazon. The size chart is WAY OFF. Very disappointing. It’s obviously pinned back on the model in the photo. The cut is fuller than the way it looks in the photo. Still, it’s darling and I’m going to try it in a smaller size.
Second try:
This time I ordered two, a size MEDIUM, AND a size LARGE. I received a coat that had a size MEDIUM hang tag, but the tag in the collar was size SMALL, and had been scribbled out with black marker. The other coat in this order of (2), had a size LARGE hang tag, but the tag in the collar was size XL and had been scribbled out with a black marker. I’m giving up. This is too much work. Disgusted with the hassle. I’m returning both. Is it too much to ask that they actually send the correct size and don’t change the tags/labels in an effort to confuse people? That’s sure what it seems like.

I ordered this in a medium and it fits quite well. The actual color of the coat looks a bit darker than the product picture but it still looks nice. It’s very warm and well made. I love how it looks. Also, I wasn’t sure if there’d be pockets, but there are. The outer material is a bit itchy on my bare skin but it’s bearable. I’m a happy camper.

As you can probably see from the picture, this coat is adorable. I get tons of compliments whenever I wear it. However, it is not the greatest qaulity (it has no actual wool, the buttons are poorly sewn on). I live in a place where it gets very cold so I probably would not have bought this at such an expensive price. I got mine at Marshall’s for about and to me that seems like a reasonable price. Great fall coat!
